Day 3 +

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After an early morning transfer from the central Serengeti, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This remarkable wildlife haven offers the chance to spot lions, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, antelopes, and—if you are fortunate—the rare black rhino. During the safari, you will enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the crater lake while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. After the game drive, you will be transferred back to Arusha city, where the safari concludes.

The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, was formed around two to three million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption. Rising about 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, the crater is home to nearly 30,000 animals and a wide variety of bird species, making it one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.

Our History

Born from a deep Chagga tribal pride, our story is rooted in the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Founder Paul Ngoty began his guiding career in 1978 and has since completed over 19,500 safaris, sharing his ancestral land with the world. His profound understanding of the terrain and wildlife, honed over 48 years, has earned him roles as an ambassador driver for Tanzania and a guide for dignitaries such as Bill Clinton's staff. Now, Paul and his daughter, Janeth, pour this passion into Simcha Safaris, ensuring every journey honors the land, the wildlife, and the generations of guides who came before.
